Analysis of V2X Scenarios for Future-Proof Battery Management Systems: Use Cases for Passenger EVs and Electric Light Commercial Vehicles
A holistic and practical evaluation framework for V2X-enabled BMS operation
Project partners VUB and BOSCH, in an industry-academia joint venture open-access paper, report an analysis of vehicle-to-X (V2X) scenarios for Future-Proof Battery Management Systems. The publication describes work done by both partners within the InnoBMS project to develop and analyse use-cases for passenger EV and electric light commercial vehicles and the opportunities and challenges in V2X charging. By gaining a better understanding of battery and BMS-related operational constraints, EVs can be used more efficiently for V2X applications which in term can provide grid support, improve energy efficiency, and provide economic benefits.
