Why InnoBMS?
The main target is always to support clean and affordable mobility, and in this project by developing optimal batteries and battery management systems (BMS). An effective lever to make the “optimal battery” feasible is to make the whole controlling system more innovative and versatile. For this purpose, the goal is to operate batteries more efficiently, safely and in a secure environment in the long term.
What in InnoBMS?
InnoBMS is a project where AVL will create testing methods and solutions for security and safety testing of (next-gen) BMS systems. To guarantee performance and safety, it is essential to simulate the battery cells used in electric vehicles as well as check the communications between the BMC and Cell Management Controller (CMC). Besides new testing methods AVL will also work on data-driven methods to accurately determine various states within the battery pack.
